Details: Looking for people who are empathic, good listeners and want to make a difference in their community. We are volunteer first responders who respond to requests from law enforcement to go to the scene of a crime or crisis and work with the victims/survivors. Our training class is 36 hours and held each Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Our next class starts 16 Sept. Applications and background checks are required. Help empty trash and generally clean up in the large room where lunch is set up. Goodfellow volunteers to help House of Faith unload the trailers into the House of Faith building.

17TH FORCE SUPPORT SQUADRON OPERATION KIDS

Location: Starts at Carswell Gym and the kids will deploy to FOB Sentinel and Afghan village. They will then return back to Carswell Gym for a welcome home ceremony.

Details: Texas Ramp Project builds wheel chair ramps for members of the community that are homebound due to ailment, age, injury or other limiting causes. All tools and safety equipment will be provided.
