Thanks from Toys for Tots

(Back row, from left to right): Marine Capt. Henry Billings, Marine Staff Sgt. John Juras and Gunnery Sgt. Jacob Eckes, all of the Marine Corps Detachment at Goodfellow, pose for a photo behind Honorary Chief Master Sgt. Mike Mitchell, Tony Palmer (recipient) and Terry Reynolds after a special presentation by the San Angelo City Council to Mr. Palmer in recognition of his eight years of service as the off-base coordinator for the Toys for Tots campaign, Tuesday during a city council meeting at the San Angelo Convention Center.

“Mr. Palmer’s unselfish dedication to the drive provides a service that is invaluable to Toys for Tots,” said Master Gunnery Sgt. Chauncey Lovely, also of the Marine Corps Detachment. “Not only does he bring smiles to the faces of kids, he brings a great deal of pleasure to the Marine Corps Detachment and our staff. He is surely a great humanitarian,” Sgt. Lovely continued. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Kamaile Chan).
