Commanders and senior enlisted leaders spent part of their Thanksgiving Day serving retirees, service members and family members holiday meals at Cressman Dining Facility Nov. 24.

Leadership served the meals to show support for the individuals who spent their Thanksgiving away from home.

“I know that this Thanksgiving is the first that many of our newest service members spend away from their families,” said Col. Michael Downs, 17th Training Wing Commander. “This is why we came to the dining facility today, we want to show them they are part of a bigger family now, the 17th Training Wing family.”

Airman Jacob Shnider, 312th Training Squadron student said he appreciated the Thanksgiving meal.

“It’s pretty amazing,” said Shnider. “It’s definitely warming. It makes you think that people care, it’s awesome.”

Goodfellow leadership provides this Thanksgiving meal annually to boost holiday morale.
