SAN ANGELO, Texas --

The 17th Training Wing celebrated their 25th Annual Awards Ceremony Feb. 9, at the McNeese Convention Center, San Angelo, Texas.

The evening was split into two events. The first was a chance for friends and family to see each of the nominees receive a medallion. The second segment consisted of a banquet, a speech by retired Lt. Gen. Joe Wehrle, and the announcement of the winners.

Col. Ricky Mills, 17th Training Wing commander, donated a check to the United Service Organizations in Wehrle’s name as a thank you for attending the ceremony on behalf of the 17th TRW.

The awards went to the following:

Civilian Category I Non-Supervisory of the Year: Ms. Teresa Steward, 17th Medical Group

Civilian Category II Non-Supervisory of the Year: Ms. Taylor Norris, 17th Contracting Squadron

Civilian Category III Non-Supervisory of the Year: Mr. Christopher Hernandez, 17th TRW

Civilian Category I Supervisory of the Year: Mr. Keith Johnson, 17th Civil Engineer Squadron

Civilian Category II Supervisory of the Year: Ms. Sharon Carey, 17th CES

Civilian Category III Supervisory of the Year: Ms. Brenda Sizemore, 17th CONS

Civilian Category IV Supervisory of the Year: Ms. Toni Hansen, 17th Mission Support Group

Volunteer of the Year: Tech. Sgt. Gloria Westbrooks, 17th MSG

Honor Guard Airman of the Year: Tech. Sgt. Glenn Williams, 316th Training Squadron

Key Spouse of the Year: Ms. Amy Telford, 316th TRS
