Chief Master Sgt. Guillermo Gallegos leans in to kiss his wife, Beth, who awaited his return home July 7 at Mathis Field San Angelo Regional Airport. Chief Gallegos is the superintendent of the 17th Communication Squadron here. He was deployed for approximately seven months to Balad Air Base in Iraq. He originally began his deployment as the superintendent of the 732nd Air Expeditionary Squadron. “The purpose of this project is to educate, as well as, encourage people on the importance of recycling,” said Master Sgt. Marshall. Recycling has many benefits. We are here to show people what some of those benefits are,” he added.

 A recycling trailer was made available at the Southeast side of the Commissary parking lot. The trailer is still located at the parking lot for individuals wishing to donate recycleable items. The following items are accepted at the trailer: plastics (#1 and #2), aluminum cans and steel or tin food cans.
