Interested in joining the Goodfellow Air Force Base Honor Guard? Interested in being the top 2 percent of all assigned Air Force personnel? We are in charge of 28 counties and over 36,000 square miles of central Texas.

Services offered:
- Full military honored funerals for veterans, retirees and active duty Air Force members.
- Provide colors details at various base events to include: retirement, award and change of command ceremonies, and multiple off base events including parades and flag folding demonstrations.

Furthermore, we work closely with the Joint Service Color Guard in which we have the opportunity to present colors at major venues and parades.

We are looking for individuals who want to be part of a high caliber team, not only to represent the 17th Training Wing, but be the faces of Goodfellow. Honor Guard members' time and dedication to the team will undoubtedly separate them from their peers as the best of the best. In return, they will be able to compete for monthly, quarterly and early
awards within the Honor Guard and possibly earn an Air Force Achievement Medal.

Practice is every Monday and Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Public Affairs office, building 533, in which one practice a week is mandatory for every member.

All Honor Guard details are on a first come, first serve basis. Members will be tasked with an Honor Guard detail in the event that:
1) The detail has not been filled
2) The member has not volunteered for a detail during a specific period of time.

If interested in joining the team, please have your supervision and chain of command sign the Honor Guard contract by clicking the application link to the right. Individuals are more than welcome to stop by a practice session to have an understanding of how our mission operates.
