Air Force stomps Army at 2nd annual co-ed softball game

Master Sgt. Mark Allen and First Sgt. Thomas DeSantis, both from the 315th Training Squadron, grill hot dogs. Hot dogs and drinks were provided free to picnic guests. “The picnic was a tremendous success,” said Capt. Martin Barnes, 17th Training Wing chaplain. “Everyone seem to enjoy both the food and the softball game between the Army and Air Force.” “This event would not have been the success it was without the great support we received,” Chaplain Barnes added. “We’d like to thank everyone who help make this happen, especially the Goodfellow 1st Sergeants’ Council and all the 344th Military Intelligence Battalion volunteers.” Chaplain Barnes said the chapel office looks forward to hosting the next picnic in conjunction with this year’s annual Army versus Navy flag football game, which is expected to take place sometime in November.
