And the rockets’ red glare: a booming good Independence Day

Twenty members from the Ft. Concho, Ft. Griffin and Ft. Chadbourne infantry, artillery and cavalry fired shots from behind the Bill Aylor Sr. Memorial River Stage using three historic cannons. The roar from the cannons signaled the start of the 2007 All American Pops Concert July 3. More than 20,000 people gathered around the banks of the Concho River in downtown San Angelo to enjoy the annual Independence Day celebration. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Kamaile Chan)
