Marines celebrate 239th birthday
SAN ANGELO, Texas – Marines carry the U.S. Marine Corps birthday cake during the Marine Corps Ball at the McNease Convention Center Nov. 8. It is customary at Marine Corps birthday celebrations for the first piece of cake to be given to the guest of honor and the second to be given to the oldest Marine who will in turn pass it on to the youngest Marine.
