With the start of the U.S. Atlantic hurricane season June 1, the Defense Commissary Agency is reminding its patrons that they can save money by visiting their local commissary for the items they need in their survival package. Service members and their families are encouraged to conduct anticipatory actions by preparing a bug-out bag, stocking up on emergency supplies and maintaining essential emergency information to increase the likelihood of survival and decrease the risk of injury when hazardous situations arise.
