The 17th Training Wing Public Affairs mission:

Expand the installation, local and national community's knowledge about Goodfellow AFB and the U.S. Air Force through accurate, timely communications and community involvement.

PA works to strategically shape the Air Force's public image through targeted communication.

PA communicates with the internal audience, local public, and military and civic leaders by utilizing traditional news reporting; feature stories and commentaries; video reports, graphic campaigns; television, print media, radio interviews and social media.

PA relies on its three sections to complete daily tasks. Those sections include: Command Information, Community Engagement and Media Operations. The professionals working in these sections are well-trained, talented photojournalists and video broadcasters.

PA's duty is to keep base members and local civilians informed with complete and accurate information and to increase public understanding of Team Goodfellow missions.
