Kratom: Legal for civilians, not for service members
GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – Kratom is an organic substance that when ingested, mimics the effects of opiates. It can still be purchased legally from smoke shops or over the Internet and is advertised as a legal drug; however, it is not approved for use by military members, and may result in judicial action.
