17th SFS hosts ruck march in honor of fallen Airman

GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – Airman 1st Class Eduardo J. Sanchez, 17th Security Forces Squadron entry controller and ruck march participant, holds the Airman 1st Class Elizabeth Jacobson Rock during the 8th Annual Airman 1st Class Jacobson 4.1-Mile Memorial Ruck March at the 17th SFS parking lot Oct. 4. The rock weighs exactly 21 pounds symbolizing Jacobson’s age at her death. The individual who carries the rock in his/her ruck during the march gets to sign it.
