17th Training Wing Change of Responsibility
U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Khamillia Washington, outgoing 17th Training Wing command chief, receives the Legion of Merit from Col. Angelina Maguinness, 17th TRW commander, during the change of responsibility ceremony at the Powell Event Center, Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas, July 16, 2025. Washington championed for Wing quality of life projects, secured 13 million dollars to replace the failing heat, ventilation and air conditioning system at the Louis F. Garland Department of Defense Fire Academy, obtained 5 million dollars for enhanced combat readiness training, guided the redesigning of a 158 million dollar intelligence exercise and enhanced firefighter performance with a 1.7 million dollar fire protection fleet biometrics project.
