The 17th Training Wing concludes Wingman Week with its annual Sports Day at the Mathis Fitness Center on Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas, 13 April, 2018.

The day began with a wing-wide formation at the football field and opening remarks by Col. Jeffrey Sorrell, 17th TRW vice commander, and celebrity athletes Kevin Klein and Rebekah Bonilla.

The Airmen were released to participate in the Alpha Warrior competition at the “Battle Rig” on the Mathis Fitness Center physical training pad nearby. Klein and Bonilla demonstrated and explained the techniques necessary to qualify for the Alpha Warrior competition.

Kevin Klein is a pro athlete with Alpha Warrior and one of the top competitors on NBC's American Ninja Warrior. Kevin is a strength and conditioning coach by trade, and is a flag runner for the Dallas Cowboys. Kevin is one of only a few who have advanced to the finals of American Ninja Warrior, 3 out of 4 seasons.

Rebekah Bonilla is a pro athlete with Alpha Warrior. Her athletic foundation started early, showing natural ability in many sports including soccer, football, basketball, track and CrossFit. After seeing Kacy Catanzaro's historic run in 2014, Rebekah was compelled to put her competitive spirit and desire to inspire others into action. She had her first appearance on Ninja Warrior in 2015.

The Alpha Warrior Military tour brings head-to-head competition to those who protect our country. Two day events are schedule throughout the country to bring the Battle Rig to military installations around the nation. The first day includes a meet and greet with the Alpha Warrior Pros followed by a competition the next day. The objective is to complete each obstacle on the course and finish with a 100% completion rate to become a PROVEN ALPHA WARRIOR.

Alpha Warrior provides both training and application of obstacle fitness for civilians and military around the world.
