GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas --

Goodfellow celebrated the newest Airmen to be inducted into the senior noncommissioned officer ranks at the base Event Center, on August 10.

The inductees are moving from noncommissioned officer to senior noncommissioned officer, transitioning from first line supervisors to leaders of operational competence. The rank of master sergeant carries significantly increased responsibilities and requires a broad perspective and greater leadership and management skills.

Guest speaker, Chief Master Sgt. JoAnne Bass, 2nd Air Force command chief, spoke about what it means to be transitioning into this new position of leadership, how far they have come and how to continue winning throughout their career. Bass was also a 17th Training Wing command chief.
