This spotlight features Senior Airman Erika Watson, 17th Medical Support Squadron Exceptional Family Member program manager. Goodfellow is Watson’s second duty station, hailing from Kansas City, Missouri, she has been in the Air Force for three years, and was previously stationed at royal air force base Lakenheath.
How does your job support the 17th Training Wing's mission?
I help ensure that services are available for active duty family members at their gaining base.
What do you find most rewarding about your work?
I enjoy seeing family members being able to accompany their active duty service member at their future duty location when services are available to them.
What has been your biggest challenge in the military, and how did you overcome that challenge?
Creating ways to make my job better for myself and for everyone else. It’s best to talk to those around you and get their input while also valuing your own.
What has been your most memorable experience in the military?
Getting to meet the Chief Master Sgt. Kaleth O. Wright, Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force, at my previous base. Also being able to travel Europe and making lifelong friends.
