GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Goodfellow leadership expanded retiree access to include Saturdays and Sundays. Retirees and their dependents may now visit Goodfellow AFB Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. In addition to the Commissary and Base Exchange, they may also use the Mathis Beach outdoor fitness area, the track and other open-air venues.
In addition to expanding retiree access, base leadership approved individual sponsors the ability to once again sign-on guests. However, visitors are requested limit their movement to on-base housing, parks and the parade grounds. All other areas are still restricted and visitors will not be allowed access.
Base access lists for contractors not already on the approved tier 2 list maintained by 17th Contracting Squadron can now be signed by a sponsoring squadron commander instead of a group commander.
All personnel on Goodfellow AFB are required to adhere to guidance regarding social distancing and face mask wear.
