GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Twelve-hundred Goodfellow students departed for their holiday destinations from here Dec. 22.
The students were given goody bags filled with surprises and gifts from organizations on base to show appreciation for the students’ hard work.
Volunteers from around the base coordinated the departure, directing groups of students through the bag pickup lines to ensure COVID-19 precautions were followed.
While students were boarding their busses, Goodfellow leadership conversed with members wishing them happy holidays and a safe trip.
Due to COVID some students will be seeing their loved ones for the first time since they departed for basic military training
