GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas --

The 17th Medical Group conducted its change of command ceremony at the Event Center here, June 8.

The 17th MDG welcomed Col. Derek Larbie, incoming commander, and thanked Col. Lauren Byrd, outgoing commander, for her hard work and service over the past two years.

The 17th MDG supports the 17th Training Wing in the execution of Air Education and Training Command’s mission.

Divided into two squadrons, the 200-person staff supports the population of students, permanent party personnel, retirees and dependents through a variety of patient services.
