GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas --

GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – Goodfellow hosted the Oktoberfest at Goodfellow celebration at the Powell Event Center Complex from 2-10 p.m., Oct. 16.

Oktoberfest brought German culture to Goodfellow and allowed Airmen and their families to experience German heritage without travelling outside the local area.

The 17th Force Support Squadron organized the event with support from multiple vendors in the local area.

The celebration included live music, German food, rock climbing, and other family-friendly activities.

  • Loving Language Learning

    Multiple languages can be heard amongst the gentle sweep of turning pages and the scrape of pencils on paper. At the Aiso Library, it’s common to see students chattering away in all manner of languages found across the globe. Although the blend of tongues may be nothing more than a confusing barrage of international conversations for some, in the case of Airman 1st Class Omar Jazaerle it’s an exercise in memory.
  • 344th Military Intelligence Battalion conducts a change of responsibility

    The 344th Military Intelligence Battalion held its change of responsibility ceremony on the parade field Oct. 28.
  • 17th TRW showcases accelerating change to AETC’s Civic Leader Program

    The 17th Training Wing showcased its training advancements to Maj. Gen. Andrea Tullos, Air Education and Training Command deputy commander and members of AETC’s Civic Leader Program during a tour of the base, Oct. 27.
  • 17th Training Wing Spotlight

    Tech. Sgt. Joshua Sutton, military language instructor is the 17th Training Wing Service Member of the Week for Oct. 26. He was recognized for his hard work and outstanding performance in his career field as a military language instructor.
  • Perfect Practice: 17th LRS hosts ERT

    Today marks the end of a 5-day Expeditionary Readiness Training hosted by the 17th Logistics Readiness Squadron.
