The 17th Security Forces Squadron will be hosting its annual Police Week, which is free and open to anyone with base access May 16-20.

“Police week allows us to pay tribute to all the local, state, and federal law enforcement officers who serve and protect those around them,” said Staff Sgt. Sean Gardner, 17th SFS combat arms instructor. “We get to memorialize those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.”

The following events honor all police, here on base and in the local community:

May 16: Opening Ceremony at 8:00 a.m. - 8:45 a.m. at the Norma Brown Building

May 16: Jail and Bail at 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the BX Lobby

May 17: Golf Outing at 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Quicksand Golf

May 18: Shooting Competition at 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the San Angelo Police Department Range

May 19: Military Working Dog Exhibition with Weapon Display and VR Headset at 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the Western Winds Dining Hall
