SAISD Convocation 2022

SAN ANGELO, Texas --  

San Angelo Independent School District kicked off the school year with a convocation at San Angelo Stadium, Texas, Aug. 10.

Teachers and staff from each school in the district, as well as 17th Training Wing and City of San Angelo leadership, attended the event and celebrated the beginning of a new school year with a live performance from the combined bands and choir, an Elvis impersonator contest, and a keynote speaker.

“Each and everyone of you is a difference maker,” said SAISD superintendent Dr. Carl Dethloff. “We’re going to take the incredible energy from this morning and carry it into our classrooms all year long.”
