Col. Angelina Maguinness, 17th Training Wing commander, hosts her first all-call at the Powell Event Center, Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas, July 28.

Maguinness used this opportunity to introduce the new 17th TRW command chief, Chief Master Sgt. Khamillia Washington.

“My philosophy is to pay it forward,” said Washington. “There have been many people that have poured into me throughout my career, and I think it’s important for me to do that to others as well. It’s my responsibility to promote an environment that members can thrive in.”

During the all-call, Maguinness discussed her command philosophy with the attendees.

“Excellence is the result of caring more than others think is wise, risking more than others think is safe, dreaming more than others think is practical, and expecting more than others think is possible,” said Maguinness.

Her ideology encompasses the Air Force core values and serves as a reminder to herself and leaders to look past a two-year mindset and look forward to advancing the 17th TRW for the Airmen that come after.

Maguinness concluded her all-call by presenting the 17th TRW 2nd quarter awards and congratulating the members of the 17th TRW on their hard work.
