LRS sets new TMO appointment times Published June 11, 2013 By Airman 1st Class Breonna Fields 17th Training Wing Public Affairs GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- The 17th Logistics Readiness Squadron is implementing a new appointment schedule for the Traffic Management Office briefings at Building 423, effective June 10. The appointment times are for both Passenger Travel and Personal Property. The Passenger Travel briefing educates customers on entitlements and e-ticket reservations to the next duty station. The Personal Property briefing covers various entitlements and moving options for personal property to their next duty station. The new appointment schedule was designed to better serve Team Goodfellow and reduce customer wait times. "The schedule will help focus customers into specific times for distinct briefings," said Lt. Col. Lisa Dahl, 17th LRS Commander. "It's proven to be more efficient." "It normally takes 45 minutes to brief one person," Dahl added. "If we can brief six people at once, we just created efficiencies. However, we will still provide the same level of customer service because the briefings are focused on members' needs and we can clarify specific questions for their personal situation." There are two separate briefs for overseas and stateside moves to further focus questions, customer needs and information. The Army Levy Brief covers both overseas and stateside moves specifically for Army entitlements. Additionally, Army permanent party can also attend the permanent party briefings. "We have found the services have different entitlements and by separating appointments by service will help us provide the information the particular customer needs without over briefing them on information they really don't need," said Dahl.
