Mark your calendar: Change of Command practice schedule Published May 10, 2013 17th Training Wing Public Affairs GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE Texas -- The 17th Training Wing will conduct a Change-of-Command ceremony May 29, during which Col. Mark Damiano, 17th Training Wing Commander, will relinquish command to Col. Kimberlee Joos. In preparation for the Change-of-Command, several ceremony practices have been scheduled to take place on the parade field. Full formation practices are scheduled for May 23, May 28 and May 29 and will begin at 7 a.m. These practices are subject to change or cancelation. All active parade participants must be in place by 7 a.m. and attendees should be in place by 8:30 a.m. The Change-of-Command will take place May 29 at 9 a.m. on the parade field. The North Gate on Paint Rock road will be the only gate open during the ceremony. Commissary and Base Exchange parking lots will not be accessible, from 8:45 a.m. until the end of the ceremony, approximately 10 a.m., so please plan accordingly. The Base Exchange and the Commissary will open at 10 a.m. In preparation for the event, the parade field is off limits for recreational purposes until June 1, the day after the ceremony.
