Volunteers from the community and Team Goodfellow joined to assist with the National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive at the Concho Valley Regional Food Bank, May 11.

Postmen from the U.S. Postal Services brought food to the food bank and volunteers received, carried, and sorted non-perishable food items.

"The mail carriers are sent out to deliver today's mail and pick up sacks of non-perishable products that were put out by the public. Canned goods are put into those sacks and the mail carriers will bring the products back over to the food bank," said Greg Duke, Concho Valley Regional Food Bank executive director.

Airman 1st Class Victoria Gutierrez, 17th Medical Group mental health technician, volunteers at the food bank because it's something that she holds dear to her heart.

"I'm here to help out the community," said Gutierrez. "I've seen families in need of food. "

Concho Valley Regional Food Bank has a good relationship with the base and provides volunteer opportunities for service members.

"We are proud to have Goodfellow in the community," said Duke. "For us to be able to tap into the resources from Goodfellow, we are getting the best volunteers that you can get."

The community also gives the base so much support but Team Goodfellow gives back by volunteering.

"They appreciate us being here and we appreciate the support they give to the base," said Gutierrez. "It's a good relationship the city and the base have."
