Laura McFarlane 17th Training Wing Public Affairs GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- More than 100 Team Goodfellow students laughed and cheered during the talent show at the Chapel Student Center Crossroads, here, April 6. Twelve students participated in the event with talents ranging from poetry recital to bass guitar playing. While some performed songs from known singers and groups such as Luke Bryan and Maroon 5, others sang and played original songs and music. Several of the contestants invited the crowd to sing along with well known songs or taught them the chorus to their own songs. "I thought it was great," said Army Pvt. Kyle Rose, 344th Military Intelligence Battalion student, who was the first performer of the night and also helped back stage. "I had a great time. It was awesome that our leadership came as well." At the end of the night, Lt. Col. Scott Nahrgang, 316th Training Squadron Commander, recognized the top three performers with coins and a golden microphone for first place. Coming in at third with a beatbox performance was Airman Anthony Sison, 315th Training Squadron student. Second place went to Airman 1st Class James Pre Vard, Jr., 312th Training Squadron student, who performed a drum solo. First place went to Airman 1st Class Breana Alvarez, 315th Training Squadron student, who sang and played guitar.
