The 17th Medical Group hosted a provider collaboration meeting at the Ross Clinic, here, March 28.

Referral providers were invited to medical group for a face-to-face meeting.

"We can't take care of a population of 9,500 to 10,000 by ourselves, that's where you come in," said Col. Kelly Klein, 17th Medical Group Commander. "We are very thankful to be in this community, to have you in the TRICARE network and to be able to partner with you to provide great quality medical care."

The clinic provided dinner and personnel presented displays and information on their squadrons.

"We were able to use this event to our benefit," said Suzanne Click, West Texas Rehabilitation Center director of marketing. "We will continue our long standing relationship with Goodfellow Air Force Base and its providers."

Once everyone mingled and ate, the medical group invited attendees to a military working dog demonstration provided by the 17th Security Forces Squadron. Rocky, 17th SFS working dog, along with his handler Staff Sgt. Tyler Wiseman, 17th SFS military working dog handler, showed everyone how a military dog detains people.

Security forces finished their demonstration and Klein thanked everyone for coming to the clinic for the night.

"I received input on different aspects of the clinic," said Sonia Martinez, West Texas Rehabilitation Center director of admissions. "I enjoyed it."
