Goodfellow presents artistic enhancement opportunities

The Goodfellow Arts and Crafts Center has an array of opportunities to celebrate March, as National Craft Month.

The Arts and Crafts Center has services in engraving, trophies, plaques, framing, embroidery. They also offer an open auto, ceramics and pottery shop. Along with the available services, the center also has supplies for oil painting, charcoal and acrylics just to name a few. One can also custom decorate apparel and imprint mugs.

Saturdays and Sundays are active days at the Arts and Crafts Center. The center offers a ceramics painting workshop and a pottery wheel workshop on both days.

The ceramic painting workshop begins at 11 a.m. and includes free supplies for the first 15 single airmen.

The pottery wheel workshop begins at 1 p.m. and includes free clay, glaze and firing for the first six single airmen.

The highlight events for the month include a scrapbooking class, Easter egg painting workshop and a sketching class.

The Easter egg painting workshop begins at 2 p.m., March 15 at the Arts and Crafts Center here.

The scrapbooking class is scheduled for March 16 beginning at 3 p.m. and ending at 5 p.m.

The sketching class is planned for Mar. 24, 2 p.m.

Warren Taylor, sketch class instructor, is a Vietnam veteran who says "There is no wrong way to draw." He taught art at Midland College for 30 years and is an established professional artist with his work exhibited in galleries nationally.
