Military Saves week arrives at Goodfellow

GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas --  Military Saves Week kicked-off at the Event Center here, Feb. 25.

A series of events geared toward helping Goodfellow service members, civilians and their families save money is planned for the week. The Airman and Family Readiness Center is scheduled to host a number of seminars to promote the campaign.

Feb. 25
· "Gate Raid" Airman Family Readiness Center Staff
· Military Saves Kick-off event at the Event Center at 9:30 a.m. followed by Information fair from 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.
· Commissary coupon saver contest begins
· "Thrift Savings Plan," at the AFRC from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Feb. 26
· "Gate Raid" Airman Family Readiness Center Staff
· "Kids Save" at the CDC from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
· "Know Before You Owe Credit Basics," at the AFRC from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
· "Emotional Spending" at the AFRC from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
· School Age Program "Kids Save," at the Youth Center from 4:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.
· "Thrift Savings Plan" at the AFRC from 6 p.m. to 7p.m.

Feb. 27
· "Know Before You Owe Credit Basics," at the AFRC from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Family Housing Community Room
· Credit report reviews at the AFRC from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
· "Stretching My Money" at the Family Housing Community Room from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
· "Matri Money" at the Family Housing Community Room from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Feb. 28
· "Stretching My Money" at Family Housing Community Room from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
· " Know Before You Owe Credit Basics" at the AFRC from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
· "Successful Car Buying Strategies" at the AFRC from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
· "Simple Tips for Saving and Long Term Investing" at the AFRC from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Mar. 1
· One-on-one financial Counseling AFRC
· Credit report reviews at the AFRC from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
· "Coupon Basics" at the AFRC
· "Strategies for home buying" at Family Housing from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
· "Know Before You Owe Credit Basic," at the AFRC from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Mar. 2
· "Strategies for home buying" at the AFRC from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
· "Successful Car Buying" at Crossroads from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
· "Busting Financial Myths!" "Free credit report review, one-on-one budget counseling," at Crossroads from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
· Commissary coupon saver contest ends
