Team Goodfellow members and San Angelo civic leaders met at the Event Center to honor the annual National Prayer Breakfast, Feb. 12.

The national tradition brings multiple religions together to pray for the president and other American leaders.

Once breakfast was served, representatives of the Jewish, Muslim and Christian religions took turns reading scriptures from their holy texts.

Afterward, base chaplains said prayers for the nation, permanent party members, families and for Team Goodfellow students.

The guest speaker, the Rev. Bill Proctor, a minister at a local church, spoke about the importance of prayer. Col. Mark Damiano, 17th Training Wing Commander, gave closing remarks.

The breakfast ended with the singing of "The Air Force Hymn" and a benediction by Capt. Victor Pagan, 17th TRW Chaplain.
