John Leabo, 17th Housing Asset Manager, said he was honored and humbled to receive the award on behalf of the housing office and added he attributes their success to the hard work and dedication of the housing office staff. "Our partnership with Goodfellow Family Housing and our focus on customer service results in the highest possible level of customer satisfaction," Leabo added. "We pride ourselves on taking care of service members and their families." The housing office consists of four basic areas and received high marks for customer satisfaction in every area. Dormitory Management handles all students and permanent party members living in base dormitories and helps service members start their BAH when they move out. The Privatization section works closely with Goodfellow Family Housing, formerly known as the Landings at Goodfellow, to ensure military members and their families receive excellent care living in off-base housing. The Housing Referral Office helps service members and their families find high quality rental houses and apartments in the San Angelo area. Finally, the Furnishings Management area assists with maintenance, purchasing and inventory for all furniture in base dormitories. Staff Sgt. Frenchie Falcon, Dormitory Management NCOIC, said he strives for 100 percent customer satisfaction while maintaining cleanliness and safety within the dormitories. "We are dedicated to taking care of our people," Falcon said. "This year alone, we purchased two million dollars worth of furniture to make sure our customers have a high standard of living." Rance Lane, Dormitory Management Chief, said teamwork is crucial to their success. "One thing our customers really get behind is our quarterly inspections," Lane said. "We work hard to ensure base leadership is involved in rating the rooms and our service members seem to like knowing their leadership cares about the way they live." Rebel Long, Housing Referral manager, said having a shop that has a lot of prior military members helps them set high goals. "We go above and beyond what our customers expect," Long said. "We add our own military experiences to their service; we put ourselves in our customers' shoes and provide for them accordingly to provide the best customer service possible."
