Angelo Inn is a part of the Air Force Inns family and strives daily to provide our travelers a most comfortable stay on Goodfellow. Improvements and renovations are a constant on any installation and the Air Force lodging facilities are no different.

During the first fiscal quarter of 2012, Angelo Inn completed a soft goods project for Building 702, at the cost of $323,413 for nine distinguished visitor's suites and 20 visitors quarters rooms. These renovations included new carpeting, draperies, bedspreads, lounge chairs and flat screen televisions. The occupancy rate during this same quarter was approximately 95 percent, due to an increase in students, of which, 249 students were sent to contract lodging downtown, with 59 on non-availability, totaling 2,298 nights into the San Angelo community.

All of this hard work was accomplished by the following, with awards in recognition of their excellent contributions. Lodging 2nd Quarterly Awards winners were:

Employee of the Quarter: Irma Juarez
Customer Service Award: Pedro Jalomos
Sustained Quality Performer: Lucila Salgado
Safety Award: Esteban Martinoff
Team Player of the Quarter: Berin Sanders
Most Improved Employee of the Quarter: Maria Borja
Dress & Appearance Award: Rosalinda Smith and Maria Heredia.

Among these excellent representatives of Air Force Inns, two employees, Christina D. Holcomb and Jeremiah J. Marrs, each received their professional certification as certified front desk representatives, from the American Hotel and Lodging Education Institute.
