Responsibilities: To help restore San Angelo neighborhoods, by painting local homes near old Lincoln Middle School.

2012 UPWARD SOCCER SEASON
Volunteers needed: 30 to 45
Responsibilities: Coach and referee youth soccer
Date/ Time: Coaches start practice on March 26th; referees start April 21st.
Location: Kirby Park, Edmund Blvd. and Nueces Street

ALCOHOL & DRUG ABUSE COUNCIL FOR THE CONCHO VALLEY: PAINTING SARA'S HOUSE

Responsibilities: Paint exterior and interior of residential treatment facility

KEEP SAN ANGELO BEAUTIFUL: TRAILER RUN
Volunteer needed: 20
Responsibilities: Help low-income citizens by cleaning up 5 to 10 properties and delivering trash and recyclable materials to landfill.
Date/ time: April 21, 8:30 a.m. to noon
Location: Salvation Army (near 2nd and Gillis)

Additional Info: Breakfast provided. Meet at the Crossroads Student Ministry Center (bldg 136) at 8 a.m., if you need to follow group. Dress for a service project; bring work gloves, water, and sunscreen.

Volunteer needed: 20
Responsibilities: Scheduled to install flooring, but may vary.
Date/ time: May 12, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Additional Info: Will need to provide own transportation; meet at Crossroads Student Ministry Center (bldg 136) at 8 a.m. to follow group. Dress for a service project, bring water and sunscreen. Food is not normally provided.

TEXAS STATE SPORTING CLAY CHAMPIONSHIP
Volunteers needed: 30-35 (each day) Sign up by April 1.
Responsibilities: Trapper, keep score, launch clays, etc. Training will be
provided on the afternoon of June 5, 6.
Date/ time: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 9, 10
Location: 8 miles southwest of San Angelo off U.S. 67 (look for the sign). Bus transportation will be provided for those who need it.
Additional info: Lunch and drinks will be provided for training and actual event. Volunteers need to bring sunglasses/safety glasses, hat and comfortable shoes.

344TH MILITARY INTELLIGENCE BATTALION: U.S. ARMY BIRTHDAY BALL
Volunteer needed: 35
Responsibilities: Serving dinner and dessert to guests at tables, help clear plates after dinner.
Date/ time: June 8, 4 to 8:30 p.m.
Location: McNease Convention Center, 500 Rio Concho Drive

Additional Info: Volunteers must wear black pants (no sweat/gym pants) and a long-sleeved white-collared shirt. Volunteers should eat before arriving.

LAKE NASWORTHY 4TH OF JULY EVENT
Volunteer needed: As many as possible
Responsibilities: Greet and welcome the guests as they arrive and show them around if needed. Serve food and drinks for about 3 hours. Drive golf carts to pick up guests between Bentwood Country Club and the ASU pavilion. Decorate and remove the decorations at the ASU pavilion. Ensure that the guests are enjoying the event.

Additional info: If possible, I would like to have a volunteer who enjoys these events to manage the entire production. He or she will meet some of the elite from San Angelo and get some great responsibilities.

KEEP SAN ANGELO BEAUTIFUL: GREAT AMERICAN CLEANUP
Volunteer needed: 120 to 150
Responsibilities: Help citizens unload debris, trash, furniture from trailers
Date/ time: June 16, 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF SAN ANGELO: MENTOR OUTREACH TO AT-RISK YOUTH
Volunteers needed: 50
Responsibilities: Interact with and mentor youth at Northside and Southside facilities
Date/ time: As soon as possible, minimum of one hour per week with at least a 6-month commitment.

Responsibilities: Assist military members, civilians, and family members with their housing needs. Customer service with minimal clerical duties.
