Goodfellow Appreciation Day Published April 18, 2012 GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Goodfellow Appreciation Day is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., May 19 at the base Recreation Camp located on Lake Nasworthy. The free event, held annually on Armed Forces Day, is hosted by the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee. Team Goodfellow members will be treated to a BBQ meal. There will also be numerous family-friendly activities. This year, the Air Force's "Top Flight" country and rock band from Lackland Air Force Base will perform. Although the event is free, Goodfellow members need to obtain "tickets" in advance for themselves and family members. This helps the Chamber know how many meals to prepare. The free tickets are available through First Sergeants. Buses will be available from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., to shuttle military students from the base to the Recreation Camp and back.
