Tong Duong 17th Training Wing Public Affairs GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- More than 100 Team Goodfellow members laughed, cheered and cried during a talent show at the Event Center, March 16. Contestants faced stiff competition. Some who have no experience, but huge cute factor, such as Catalina Moon, age 4, who sang "Jesus loves me," to American Idol contestant Airman 1st Class Eric Anderson, 315th Training Squadron student, who sang "Bless the Broken Road," by the Country music group, Rascal Flatts. Despite the experience levels of contestants, Chaplain (Capt.) Robert Bohnsack, 17th Training Wing Chaplain and one of the organizers of the event, said the goal of the show was for members to socialize and have fun on base. "We try to offer things to students throughout the year, such as basketball, ultimate Frisbee or a movie marathon," Bohnsack said. "Goodfellow is a joint training base and we try to offer events for students to get together and know each other better." Airman 1st Class William Halters, showcased his talent by shredding the notes to Iron Maiden's "2 Minutes to Midnight." Though Halters did not place, he was happy to be part of the event. "My solo was a little shaky, I've only had six months of classical guitar training in high school and have been self taught since," Halters said. "I got a lot of stiff competition, but I'm not here for that, I'm here to have fun and perform."
