Military Appreciation Softball Series Published March 15, 2012 GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- The Angelo State softball team, the Rambelles, will be "Hitting for Our Heroes" during the March 17-18 series against Midwestern State to support deployed service members, family members, and wounded warriors. Saturday's game starts at 5 p.m. Sunday's game is slated for 1 p.m. at the ASU softball field on the corner of Johnson and Victory. Active-duty military and their immediate family members get in free with ID card. The Angelo State softball team has won 22 of its last 23 games and continues to move up the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top-25 Poll. The Rambelles are now ranked second in the nation.
