Test results negative for measles Published Feb. 15, 2012 GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- On Monday, Feb. 13, the 17th Medical Group announced they'd made a clinical diagnosis of measles on base. Laboratory testing was done to definitively confirm the diagnosis of measles. However, the results of those tests came back negative. As such, no one at the Ross Clinic was exposed to the measles virus as we'd initially feared. Still, the Medical Group strongly encourages all beneficiaries to be vaccinated as per the recommendations of their health care provider and the Centers for Disease Control. If you're unsure of your immunization status, please contact your health care provider. Vaccines prevent disease in people who receive them and help protect those around them. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact the Public Health Flight at 654-1490 or 654-3675.
