TOM GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF'S CRISIS INTERVENTION UNIT - October
Responsibilities: Train for and serve as on-scene responders.
Date/Time: Classes start Oct. 1 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., and continue each Saturday for six weeks

SAN ANGELO STORM ELITE BASKETBALL CLUB - October
Responsibilities: Coach boys or girls basketball team. Age groups: 12 and younger, 10 and younger, and eight and younger.

NEW BRIDGE FAMILY SHELTER JUST BETWEEN FRIENDS - October
Responsibilities: Set-up, work sale event and break-down.
Date/Time: Oct. 12, 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.; Oct. 14, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.; Oct. 15, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; and Oct. 16, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.

UPWARD YOUTH BASKETBALL
- October
Responsibilities: Attend October training, coach youth, referee games
Date/Time: October training TBD, season runs from late November thru early March
Location: Multiple locations; most games at San Angelo Independent School District gymnasium

All equipment and training are provided. This is the sixth year, and 350-500 youth are expected to participate.

BULLDOG CAR, TRUCK AND BIKE SHOW - Oct. 8
Responsibilities: Food preparation, challenge stations, parking, water stations, set-up, tear-down, registration and traffic direction.

SAN ANGELO MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS ECO FAIR FAMILY DAY - Oct. 8
Responsibilities: Assist with canoe rides, art activities, mini-fishing competition, set-up and clean-up

Responsibilities: Set-up and break-down Halloween Carnival

Read a statement about a Texas domestic violence victim who died in 2010 and light a candle.
