It's that time of year again. Goodfellow's Combined Federal Campaign period is well underway. The campaign kicked off Sept. 8 and runs until Oct. 31.

Currently in its 50th year, the CFC is the largest annual workplace charity campaign which supports thousands of local, national and international non-profit charity foundations. Some of the CFC charities include the Meals on Wheels Association of America, the Global American Urological Association and the USO Federation.

Remember, on-base fundraising activities are not authorized during the CFC drive. This includes activities such as collections within a unit to assist fellow Air Force members in need, and car washes to raise funds for a unit holiday party.

Although private organizations and unofficial organizations may fundraise off base for the benefit of the organization, they may not fundraise off base for other charitable organizations.

Private organizations and unofficial organizations must always ask permission before conducting a fundraiser. Questions and concerns about permissible fundraising during the CFC can be addressed by contacting Suzanne Torres at (325) 654-3336. Question and concerns regarding this article should call the legal office at (325) 654-3203.
