Staying here during EXODUS? Events on Goodfellow make holidays pleasant Published Dec. 15, 2010 By 17th Training Wing Public Affairs GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- While many people may be leaving town during Exodus 2010 to enjoy the holidays with family or friends, those sticking around may think there's nothing left to do. During the two-week hiatus (Dec. 21-Jan. 2), Goodfellow will still have places open and things to do to make spending the holiday season a little more enjoyable. Activities start the night of Exodus, Dec. 21, with Crossroads holding a barbecue and movies starting at 6 p.m. Although they will be closed Dec. 25, they are open during the rest of Exodus from noon-7 p.m. The Cressman Dining Facility will be serve holiday lunches Dec. 25 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Dec. 26 from 11 a.m.-noon and Jan. 1 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Holiday dinners will also be served Dec. 25 from 4:30-6 p.m., Dec. 26 from 5-6 p.m. and Jan. 1 from 4-6 p.m. Other operating hours for the Cressman Dining Facility include breakfast on weekdays from 6:30- 8 a.m., lunch every day from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and dinner every day from 5-6 p.m. Midnight meals will not be served during Exodus. The Event Center will be open from noon-6 p.m. every day except Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. The bowling center will also be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, but will be open the other days from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Those who want to stay in shape during the holidays can stop by the Mathis Fitness Center Dec. 21-23 and Dec. 28-30 from 6 a.m.-7 p.m., or Dec. 24-27 and Dec. 21-Jan. 3 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Mathis will be closed Dec. 25. The base library will also be open for those wanting some quiet time to read, relax or surf the Internet. They will be open Dec. 22-24 and Dec. 27-31 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Be sure to check out some movies or books during these hours because they will be closed Dec. 25-26 and Jan. 1-2.
