AAFES holds 'Name the Sleigh' contest Published Nov. 1, 2010 DALLAS -- Traditionally, Santa Claus flies around in his sleigh pulled by his eight trusty reindeer. Santa decided to upgrade his out-of-date sleigh and needs help naming it. He decided to let the best customers in the world help him with this monumental task. Col. Virgil Williams, Chief of Staff at the Army and Air Force Exchange Service, said, "To help Santa we came up with the 'Name the Sleigh' contest." In keeping in the spirit of the holidays, the base exchange will be giving away a trip to Hollywood and various other prizes valued at $6,000 in the contest. "We placed the contest rules in our holiday Toybook www.flickr.com/photos/aafespa/5126514023/sizes/l/in/photostream which can be found at your local exchange," he said. The exchange recently released the Toybook with 64 pages of toys for children to choose from. The catalog features top-selling toys, games, video-gaming consoles, sporting goods and more for kids of all ages, just in time for the holidays. The Toybook also contains more than $600 in coupons, redeemable at Goodfellow's Exchange. Colonel Williams spoke with Santa and wanted to relay this message, "Santa encourages the good boys and girls of the world to fill out the 'Wishlist' that is in the front of catalog so he will know exactly what they want."
