Recycling at Goodfellow

The Recycling Center is located at Fort Lancaster Avenue and West Canberra Street, building 516, and is open 24-hours.

Papers containing Privacy Act, For Official Use Only, bank account numbers, credit card numbers or social security numbers should not be put in the 24-hour drop off because this paper is not shredded. Individuals who need to recycle these types of paper can take them to building 504, weekdays from 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. to be placed in secured privacy container.

Paper:
All office paper, including envelopes
No carbon paper
Shredded paper, only when tied in plastic bags
Privacy Act material must be placed in the gray locked bins in building 504.

Newspaper:
Newspapers and all inserts
No strings or plastic straps

Catalogs and Magazines:
All catalogs and magazines
Telephone books are included

Plastics:
All colored plastic containers considered #1 and #2; caps and lids must be removed.
Plastics considered PETE #1, such as soft drinks and juice bottles, and HDPE #2, such as milk jugs and some laundry detergent bottles.
Note: At the bottom of each container is a recycle triangle indicating the type of plastic.

Cardboard and Packaging Material:
Corrugated boxes, brown paper grocery sacks and packaging paper used in household moves can be placed in any cardboard dumpster located throughout the base.
No pizza boxes.

Glass:
Remove the caps and lids.

Aluminum Cans:
Beverage cans only; rinse cans thoroughly.
No scrap metal, aerosol cans or pie pans.
