Community to honor Goodfellow at 5th Annual Military Appreciation Day Published May 11, 2010 By Public Affairs GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Come rain or shine, the San Angelo community will honor Team Goodfellow during the 5th Annual Goodfellow Appreciation Day Saturday from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Outdoor Recreation Camp at Lake Nasworthy. It is free and open to all Goodfellow military and civilian personnel and their family. Free transportation to and from the event is available from 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. The bus will round robin between the base theater and the recreation camp during this hours. Last year more than 2,100 Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Department of Defense civilians and their families from Goodfellow attended. This year's crowd is anticipated to be even more. Along with the free food, activities include: basketball, boat rides, bungie runs, jump castles, clowns, massages, pony rides, a rock wall climbing and sand volleyball, just to name a few; and everything is free!
