New 17th Training Group commander assigned Published April 29, 2010 By 17th Training Wing Public Affairs GOODFELLOW AFB, Texas -- Air Force Manpower and Personnel announced senior officer assignments recently including the 17th Training Group commander position. The current commander of the 17th TRG, Col. Anthony S. Lombardo, will assume the position of Military Assistant to Deputy Under Secretary of Defense Portfolio, Programs and Resources, Under Secretary of Defense at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. Colonel Lombardo will relinquish group command in July to Col. John David W. Willis who is currently at the Naval War College, Newport, R.I..
