But Fort Sam pulled away in the second half, and Goodfellow ended up on the short end of a 75-55 decision. Givan had 14 points for Goodfellow and Thompson had 13 more. Sunday's game looked like it would be another blowout as Fort Sam blasted out to a 15-0 lead. The Hawks crawled back into the game and managed to tie the score with three minutes remaining. However, the Hawks couldn't complete the rally as Fort Sam prevailed 73-69. Thompson led the Hawks with 16 points and Givan dropped in 15 more. Goodfellow is scheduled to host Lackland Air Force Base this weekend with a game on Saturday and Sunday.
