The SNCO Academy is a nine-week course of instruction designed for enlisted senior leaders. The only SNCO Academy in the Air Force is located at Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base. This level of PME is designed to provide senior enlisted leaders with enhanced knowledge, skill and ability and reinforces a war fighters ethos. It also provides current, effective, and appropriate leadership and management education and training to meet current and foreseeable requirements of ever changing Air Force and DoD missions. SNCO Academy or a sister service equivalent in residence must be completed for promotion to senior master sergeant. The SCNO Academy equips today's Senior Enlisted Leaders to lead tomorrow's expeditionary warrior.
