Three teams are slugging it out for the top spot as the intramural volleyball season enters its final weeks.

As of Thursday, the 315th Training Squadron Rattlers, 316th Training Squadron Sharks and 312th Training Squadron Fire Dawgs each grabbed a share of first place with 8-1 records.

The Rattlers staked their claim of supremacy by virtue of their 25-11 and 25-15 victory over the Navy/Marine team Feb. 16. The 315 TRS also earned a win by forfeit over the 17th Communications Squadron Bats Wednesday.

The Sharks made their case by also defeating the Navy/Marines 25-7 and 25-22 Thursday, while the Fire Dawgs snapped up a win over Army 25-14 and 26-24 Wednesday.

Army's loss came a day after the soldiers finally broke into the win column by gaining a forfeit win over the 17th Medical Group Cobras.

The 17th Mission Support Group Junkyard Dawgs, 4-4, took sole possession of fourth place by knocking off the Cobras 25-12 and 25-10, Thursday.
