Hawks drop two to Dyess

The Goodfellow varsity basketball team dropped two games this past weekend by a total of six points to Dyess Air Force Base. The Hawks took a 2 point lead at the half but could not hold back Dyess as they took a four point victory 85 to 81 in the first game. The Hawks had four players in double figures in the game with Christopher Warren's game high of 35 points, Tim Harris and Sharad White chipping in 13 points each and Aaron Dawkins had 10 points. In the second game of the series the Hawks took a 40 to 40 tie game into the locker room. In the second half the Hawks kept the game close but could not overcome the charity line as Dyess took a75 to 73 victory. The Hawks had three players in double figures. Mike Thompson and Sharad White tied for the games top scorer with 22 points each while Aaron Dawkins contributed 10 points. The Hawks' record stands at 5 wins and 4 losses for the season. The Hawks find themselves traveling to San Antonio this weekend to compete in the 34th Annual Joe B. Hall Classic Tournament at Lackland Air Force Base.
